Hi all, not been on here much lately due to work committments. Was just wondering about feeling ill re the RA/fatigue, and having this awful cough. Should I bother the GP or wait and see? My next rheumy appt is 22nd Oct. Still working full time with the children, and soooo tired and no better re the drugs. Probably making a fuss over nothing, but just could do with some help. Hope everyone not too bad and sending hugs x x x BARBARA

Hi Barbara,
Yes I think you should see your GP about the cough. How long have you had it?

Hi Barbara, Yes I think you should see the GP re your cough. Its coming into winter now and it can get a lot worse. My sister in law has had one for about two months, she has been really poorly and just could not shake in at all. Lost lots of weight and could hardly breath. She has been on a double course of steroids and antibiotics and is now finally getting over it. Our immune systems cannot take that kind of hassle. Look after yourself, take care Lorna x

Hi Doreen, hope you are well. Lorna, how are you??? The cough has been with me for around 2 weeks, thought it was getting better, then it got worse, had such a bad coughing fit this afternoon I couldnt get my breath! Maybe I should call them tomorrow and try to get an emergency appt in the surgery. Thanks for the replies ladies, can always rely on you to sort me out, love and hugs x x x BARBARA

I'm fine thanks Barbara, just got over a nasty throat infection. Hope you can get an appointment for tomorrow. Mtx can cause a cough so it's best to get it checked out.
Love, Doreen xx

Definitely agree about seeing the GP. I wonder would an inhaler help too? YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

Hi Barbara, I'm fine, although the child I am working with has a cold which wont go, constant runny nose. I wash my hands all the time but I seemed to have developed a sore throat now myself. Went to bed when I got in, I was shattered. Hopefully it wont come to anything much. Glad you are going to see the doctor, these flu type bugs can be nasty. Hope you feel better soon. Lorna xx

Haven't been on here for a few days- so I'm a bit late in ading to everyone else's advice to see gp. There's a lot of 'chetsy stuff' going round at the moment.
Take care

Hi Barbara
I am returning to work on Monday after 4weeks on sick leave, my symptoms were extreme fatigue and feeling unwell. I visited my GP who signed me off for 2 weeks and then a further 2 weeks and I was told to come back if I still felt tired. Like you I work full time but have tired to organise some leave to have long weekends to recharge my batteries, this I have done for nearly a year but this time I felt I really needed to have time out. Go to your GP and tell him/her how you are feeling you can only push yourself so far, we really to need to listen to our bodies, I do feel so much better now. Even though you have an appointment with your rheumy I would still see you GP
Good luck you seem to need a bit of quality time to recharge.
Jane x
